Victim Assistance

My primary purpose as your State Attorney is to keep you and your fellow citizens safe.  If you are a crime victim, I am dedicated to assisting you with navigating the often confusing and sometimes lengthy criminal justice process.  The State Attorney’s Office is prepared to protect your statutory and Constitutional rights from the moment of victimization.  Our Victim Advocates, often working in tandem with our non-profit and law enforcement advocacy partners, can assist you through the process, answer your questions, and direct you to appropriate agencies for support.

This page is intended to advise you of the sum of victim assistance resources available in your particular county of residence.  You will also find, under the “Statewide” tab, a phone number for the Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE) service.  VINE provides information regarding whether a criminal defendant remains in custody or has been released.  Additionally, in the same tab, there is a phone number and link for the Florida Office of the Attorney General’s Application for Victim Compensation.

I invite you to contact and speak to a Victim Advocate at the State Attorney’s Office in your county of residence if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,

Amira D. Fox
State Attorney
